Ingredients
  • 1cup Kara Boondhi
  • 1cup Omapodi
  • 1cup Karasev(I made plain)
  • 1/4cup Raw Peanuts
  • 1/4cup Poha/Flattened Rice
  • 1/4cup Roasted Chana Dal/Pottukadalai
  • 10 Cashews
  • 10 Almonds
  • 1/4tsp Turmeric Powder
  • 1/4tsp Hing/Asafoetida
  • 1/2tsp Red Chilli Powder
  • Salt as needed
  • Handful of Curry Leaves
  • 3-4 Garlic Podsoptional
Instructions
  1. Prepare Kara Boondhi, Omapodi and Karasev. Set aside.
  2. Fry off the poha/flattened rice and drain it well on paper towel.
  3. Next fry off peanuts, roasted chana dal, cashews, almonds, curry leaves and crushed garlic pods (if using) in separate batches until golden brown and rest them on paper towel.
  4. Add all the ingredients into a big mixing bowl. Add salt, turmeric powder, asafoetida and red chilli powder. Mix them really well until the spices have combined well.
  5. Store in an airtight container and serve with coffee/tea.
