Ingredients
For making Pizza Dough –
  • 1.5cupsAll Purpose Flour
  • 1/2tspBaking Soda
  • 3/4tspBaking Powder
  • 1/2tspSalt
  • 1tspSugar
  • 1/2cupWater
  • 2tspolive oil
For making Tawa Pizza –
  • 1/2cupPizza Saucerefer notes for recipe
  • Cubed Onions as needed
  • Cubed Tomatoes as neededPulp removed
  • Chopped Baby Corn as needed
  • Chopped Broccoli as needed
  • Grated Cheese as needed
  • Olive Oil as needed
  • Salt as needed
  • Mixed Italian Herbs to sprinkle on top
Instructions
  1. In a mixing bowl add all-purpose flour, salt, sugar along with baking powder and baking soda. Mix well.
  2. Make a well in the center, add olive oil and water. Slowly mix it and add water little by little, knead into a soft dough.
  3. Knead the dough for 4-5 mins gently. Add a few drops of oil on top and let it rest for 1 to 1.5 hours at room temperature.
  4. The dough would raise and almost increase in volume. Divide it into four equal parts.
  5. Dust a little flour and roll it into a thin circle.
  6. Meanwhile heat the cast iron pan on medium flame. Drizzle some olive oil around and once hot, place the rolled pizza base.
  7. Soon multiple big and small bubbles form on the top of the pizza base.
  8. Flip it to the other side and cook for a minute.
  9. Turn it to the other side and apply a layer of pizza sauce, leaving 1/2 a centimeter space around the edges.
  10. Add grated cheese on top as much as needed.
  11. Next place veggies around, don’t crowd the pizza top.
  12. Cover it a lid and cook on low flame for 5-6 mins until the bottom is golden and crispy.
  13. As the cheese melts and vegetables are cooked, base is crunchy – remove from heat. Sprinkle salt if needed. Sprinkle mixed Italian herbs on top.
  14. Serve hot immediately.
