1Large Onion Finely Chopped
2Medium Tomatoes Finely Chopped
3-4Garlic Pods Finely Chopped

1teaspoonMustard Seeds

⅛teaspoonAsafoetida
Few Fresh Curry Leaves

Masala Paste:
½cupGrated Coconut
1tablespoonFried Gram
1teaspoonPoppy Seeds
1teaspoonFennel Seeds
2-3Green Chillies
Water as needed

Instructions
In a thick bottomed pan, heat oil. Add mustard and cumin seeds, as they begin to pop up add fresh curry leaves and chopped garlic. Cook for a few seconds.
Add finely chopped onions and fry until translucent.
Next add finely chopped tomatoes and cook until mushy. And then add turmeric powder.
Add chopped boiled potatoes.
Cook everything together for 3-4 mins.
Meanwhile, add all the ingredients under masala paste and grind into a smooth paste.
Add this paste to the cooked onion, tomatoes and potatoes.
Add ½ cup of water and cook the masala paste for 3-4 mins. Then add cooked moong dal.
Cook the Kadapa until it begins to boil and comes together. Remove from heat.
