Instructions
In a bowl, take the chia seeds. Add ½ cup of warm milk and let the chia seeds soak in the milk.
Keep the chia seeds soaking until they have doubled up in size. Add 1 teaspoon of sugar and vanilla essence to the chia seeds. Mix well.
Meanwhile, puree the chopped mangoes with 2 teaspoon of sugar in a blender. Don’t add any water.
Assemble the dessert by adding a layer of mango puree followed by chia seeds. Repeat until the dessert bowl or glass is filled.
Serve chilled.
Note –
In case if chia seeds are not available, use Sabja/sweet basil seeds.
For vegan options, use almond or coconut milk.
The soaking time for chia seeds can be anywhere between 30 mins to overnight.
I used warm milk to fasten the soaking process.
Adjust the quantity of sugar depending on the sweetness of mangoes.
Add any dry fruit or nuts as desired.
