I am Ramya, the face and voice behind Cooking from Heart 🙂 I was born in Andhra Pradesh, brought up in Chennai and currently living in Bangalore. My food is an amalgamation of the different exposures I have had in my life. Having grown up eating typical Andhra food at home, tasting typical Tamilnadu food after getting married, adopting new recipes from Karnataka these days, trying out different world cuisines from various restaurant try-outs – my kitchen is mostly my experiment zone.
As far as I can remember, cooking has always been my passion, a stress buster and my greatest hobby. If I have to be specific on when I started cooking, it should be when I was around ten years old. My amma let me do anything I wanted in the kitchen and often praised me on all my attempts – whether good or bad. Slowly my interest turned into passion. There is nothing more satisfying than seeing your loved ones happy after eating your food.
In the initial days, often I used to click pictures of my food on my mobile camera, never once did I think about having a food blog. Couple of years back, I created this food blog to take note of my kitchen experiments. All the recipes on this blog are tested and tried at my kitchen. With my latest obsession over food photography, I am more than excited to be sharing recipes almost every day.
All the pictures on this food blog are mine, unless stated otherwise. I spend a lot of time planning my recipes, cooking, arranging my food, clicking the pictures, processing them and finally publishing the recipes here. Please do not copy the content or pictures without giving the due credit.
