Maladu with Jaggery | Maa Ladoo | Easy Maladu
Super simple, delicious laddu made with roastedgram flour and jaggery – Maladu recipe with step-wise pictures. This easy sweetof Maa Ladoo or Maladu can be made in minutes! Perfect for those sweetcravings.
Equipment
- Blender
- Small Fry Pan
MEASUREMENT
1 cup = 250ml, 1 tablespoon = 15ml, 1 teaspoon = 5ml
Ingredients
- 1 cup Roasted Gram/Pottu Kadalai/Veyinchina Senaga Pappu
- ¾ cup Powdered Jaggery
- 2 Green Cardamoms
- 8-10 Cashews Broken into small pieces
- 3 tablespoon Ghee
Instructions
- In a blender add roasted gram and grind into a fine powder. Remove onto a mixing bowl.
- In the same blender add powdered jaggery and cardamoms. Grind into a smooth powder. Remove onto the mixing bowl.
- Mix both roughly.
- In a small fry pan, heat ghee. Add broken cashews and roast until golden.
- Pour it over the mixture in the bowl.
- When the mixture is hot, use a spoon to combine everything together. It will look crumbly.
- As the mixture becomes warm enough to handle, mix it well and take a small portion of the mixture, roll it into a tight laddu.
- Repeat this with rest of the mixture and make laddus of desired size when the mixture is warm. If it is too dry, add a few drops of ghee to combine.
- Store in an airtight container for upto a week.
