With less than 2 days for the New Year, I can’t help but reminisce what a year this has been – food blogging wise. I posted a total of 161 recipes, not as many as I posted in 2015 but this is still an achievement. At the beginning of this year, I looked back at my food blogging journey and decided to take it a notch down. Instead of churning out posts every day, I decided to improve on the content & quality of my recipes while focusing on my photography. Doing all this while having a full time job and a home to maintain was surely not an easy task. Every single day, I pushed my boundaries, trying out new things and today, I am happy where I am.
None of this is possible without support. Support from family, friends and my dear readers. When you have a supportive family, everything else comes together automatically. My husband is such a sport for any cuisine and any food. While I remained busy cooking and clicking, he took care of a lot of household responsibilities and I am super thankful to him. To my parents who taught me the value of the food and continue to appreciate my efforts every day, a big thanks to them. I cant imagine this food blog without my sister, for she encourages me every single moment. For the number of times I have picked her brain with my questions, ideas and other nonsense, a big hug and thank you to her. Last but not the least, what is a blog, if there are no readers? Every comment, appreciation and feedback I have received this year was a big boost! A big big big thankyou from the bottom of my heart 🙂
2016 – a year of try-outs! I got a new prime lens and have been having a ball with it. On an impulse, I moved to a self-hosted domain and learnt the ropes of maintaining a blog literally. I jumped head first into Instagram and having one hell of a time. I launched my Youtube channel and having a lot of fun learning and posting video recipes. I am not an expert yet by no means but the fact that I am trying makes me happy! I am more than excited to do the same and more in 2017 🙂
While we are here, I would like to post the top 10 posts from Cooking From Heart and the most popular recipe video from my Youtube channel. Click on the image below to go to the recipe directly.
